Grief is a door opener to vitality and beauty and courage. Every grief has its own intelligence and medicine.
Our tears allow us to flow and open new doors to ourselves.
This communal grieving ritual is dedicated to the Spring equinox, a Weekend of slowing down, pause from daily life, and for praise and grieve together.
Songs, stories and content will be part of our coming together.
For me, grief is a love letter to life, a deep access to my life force and the beauty of life, and follows one of the most natural intelligences I have known, or as Toko-pa Turner writes in her book "Belonging":
"We grieve the loves we’ve lost. We grieve our abilities vanishing through illness or age. We grieve the loss of faith in our religion. We grieve our children leaving home. We grieve the paths we didn’t walk. We grieve the family we never had. We grieve the suffering of the planet. But while grief may look like an expression of pain that serves no purpose, it is actually the soul’s acknowledgment of what we value. Grief is the honour we pay to that which is dear to us. And it is only through the connection to what we cherish that we can know how to move forward. In this way, grief is motion."
From Friday to Sunday we gather at the beautiful Venue to give gratified to our capacity to love, while grieving together.
Maybe this is for you or for a friend?
Any Question, feel free to rech out to us.
Grief Retreat
Spring Equinox
“Communal grieving offers something that we cannot get when we grieve by ourselves. Through validation, acknowledgement and witnessing, communal grieving allows us to experience a level of healing that is deeply and profoundly freeing. Each of us has a basic human right to that genuine love, happiness and freedom.”
Sobonfu Somé
What is communal grieving?
Communal grieving is a process in which a group of individuals come together to mourn and process any loss. This can be a loss of a loved one or a shared experience, an ending relationship, change of home or work, transition, ilness, aging or a missed community.
Communal grieving can take many forms, such as funerals, memorials, or other public gatherings.
The purpose of communal grieving is to provide a sense of support and connection for those who are grieving. By coming together, individuals can share their experiences and emotions, and feel less alone in their grief. Communal grieving also serves a cultural function, as it reinforces the importance of shared experiences and community support, as we come together in grieve with the things we love.
Communal grieving can help individuals to process their emotions and move forward in a healthy way.

Janna Schneewitta
“My work is inspired by my teachers Francis Weller, Martin Prechtel, the International School of Temple Arts, Isabel Knauf, Sobonfu Somé, Judith Wilhelm-Wildnisschule Wildeshausen, Louise Claire, and especially by Elke and Aaron Leopthin-Gerwert, as well as by supporters Filiz Telek and Lotan Saphir, and many other friends, loved ones, and my family."
Janna Schneewitta Rehbein, a certified art therapist (Dipl. Kunsttherapeutin) and Master of Art in Context, supports people through transitions and sabbaticals, facilitates grief processes, and most importantly, creates spaces for collective grieving in various formats, such as multi-day grief fires and grief rituals. For her, grief work is a deep pathway to joy and vitality, following a natural intelligence.
Even during her studies, she focused on themes of grief and memory, exploring different life concepts and communities. After realizing various international art and exhibition projects, she led seminars worldwide and built networks of young people. She conceptualized engagement colleges and seminar leader trainings and supported countless individuals in times of transition.
We can’t wait to BE with you.
With so much love
